A reply from Metro regarding concessionary rail fares for pensioners.
“As a result of the reduction in the amount of funding Metro receives, there has been a review of all budgets in order to make cost savings.
“At the July 2011 West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority Executive Board Meeting it was agreed to increase the concessionary rail fare from a 50p flat fare to half fare and the increase will be implemented on 2 January 2012.”
