A greatly reduced frequency timetable will apply across the TransPennine Express network from Monday 23 March 2020 until further notice.
These service changes are being implemented in response to advice from HM Government for the nation to reduce non essential travel and for the public to work from home where possible.
TPE staff are not immune to the effects of the Corona Virus outbreak and it has become increasingly difficult to operate their normal timetable as a number of their personnel have become unable to come to work.
To ensure they can operate a basic service to keep essential workers moving, an amended timetable will apply on all TPE routes until further notice.
Further information about travelling with TPE during this difficult time (including information about tickets) is available at https://www.tpexpress.co.uk/travel-updates/corona-virus-travel-info
In summary, so far as it affects Slaithwaite and Marsden, there will be an hourly service between Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds calling at all stations.
Although still an hourly service, please note that timings are
different. xx47 (Marsden) / xx51 (Slaithwaite) minutes past the hour towards
Huddersfield & Leeds, xx32/xx37 towards Manchester. Also that the last
trains are much earlier, 2017 from Piccadilly, 1947 from Leeds.
