{"id":549,"date":"2012-01-16T13:37:55","date_gmt":"2012-01-16T13:37:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/?p=549"},"modified":"2012-01-16T13:37:55","modified_gmt":"2012-01-16T13:37:55","slug":"new-platform-surface-at-slaithwaite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/?p=549","title":{"rendered":"New platform surface at Slaithwaite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anyone who has used Slaithwaite station in the past year or so cannot failed to have noticed the modern art on the platform in the form of yellow-edged patches covering various places where the original platform surface has rotted away.<\/p>\n<p>On some parts of the station there is more patch than platform.<\/p>\n<p>This could not go on for ever, and it hasn&#8217;t. So, on the Manchester-bound platform, about one third of the platform length has been resurfaced, with a tactile strip along it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/jan_12_-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-556\" title=\"jan_12_ 001\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/jan_12_-001-168x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/jan_12_-001-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/jan_12_-001-574x1024.jpg 574w, https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/jan_12_-001.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As yet, that&#8217;s all that has been done.
