{"id":2772,"date":"2026-11-05T16:34:14","date_gmt":"2026-11-05T16:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/?p=2772"},"modified":"2026-11-05T16:34:14","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T16:34:14","slug":"timetable-changes-weekend-of-7-8-november-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smart-rail.co.uk\/?p=2772","title":{"rendered":"Timetable changes, weekend of 7 &amp; 8 November 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The normal Manchester Piccadilly to York stopping service will operate differently, with two separate services running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is due to planned engineering work affecting the Hope Valley route between Manchester and Sheffield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An hourly six-car Class 185 service will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield, calling at Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, Mirfield and Wakefield Kirkgate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For passengers at Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden &amp; Slaithwaite stations, this means they will still be able to travel directly to Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield. Instead, a separate service will run between Wakefield Kirkgate and York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passengers travelling from Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden &amp; Slaithwaite stations towards York will therefore need to check their connections, including changing at Wakefield Kirkgate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saturday peak services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The additional Saturday peak services between Leeds and Manchester will operate as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passengers should check their revised departure times before travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further details are available on the National Rail Journey Planner:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/journey-planner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/journey-planner\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The normal Manchester Piccadilly to York stopping service will operate differently, with two separate services running.
