https:\/\/www.tpexpress.co.uk\/travel-updates\/changes-to-train-times<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n One thing of note is\nthat on New Year\u2019s Day, Manchester Victoria is closed and there are no trains\nbetween Manchester and Marsden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the old days, the\ntrain companies would have simply put on a replacement bus between\nManchester\/Stalybridge and Huddersfield, even when the line between\nHuddersfield and Marsden was unaffected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This time, however,\nTPE are running trains from Huddersfield to Slaithwaite and Marsden, with a\nreplacement bus covering Marsden to Greenfield, Mossley, Stalybridge, Manchester.\nIt\u2019s the Middlesbrough train, so timings at Slaithwaite & Marsden are\ndifferent from normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We have been critical of TPE and Network Rail when they have got things wrong, so it\u2019s only fair to give due credit when (as on this occasion) they get things right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A reminder that times and service patterns change over the Christmas and New Year period.
